St. Augustine, FL, USA – Danny Garcia (author of Marines Don’t Cry and known internationally as ‘The Walking Man’ for walking throughout SIX continents) and his wife Jackie will embark on a ‘Walk for Peace’ in Antarctica, March 2nd-9th 2025. The walk’s mission is to pray for the peace and unity of all nations.
About the trip
During this trip, Danny will highlight Mother Nature’s beauty, showcasing Antarctica’s pristine and spectacular landscapes, as he adds to his 52 million steps walked around the world for children & world peace. During this historic walk, Danny will also be celebrating his 80th birthday!
Follow on to Ukraine Peace Missions
The Antarctica Walk for Peace follows the 2024 peace missions the Garcias conducted in Ukraine, where they prayed with a Ukrainian delegation and planted a peace pole with the prayer “May Peace Prevail on Earth”. They also did a flag exchange, receiving the Ukrainian flag, bible, and a children’s book of poetry to present as a gift to the President of the United States and his family. The American flag gifted to the people of Ukraine was taken to the front lines of the war to lift their spirits.
“This Antarctica Walk for Peace is dedicated to God and inspired by the Holy Spirit,” says Garcia. “My 28 years of walking around the world have been a walk of faith, hope, and love. I could never have done this without God and those who have helped me throughout my life. I want to thank everyone who has been on this journey with me, as I complete a walk on the seventh continent.”
Fly & Cruise Aboard Magellan Explorer
The Garcias will have to travel on four planes to get to Antarctica, leaving Jacksonville, FL, to Santiago, Chile to King George Island in the South Shetland Islands. This fly & cruise option (through Swoop Ltd.) is one of the most exclusive voyages onboard the Antarctic Expedition ship, the Magellan Explorer.
